We have an awesome transformation story to share with you today, Yoli Nation! Tracy Pelzer-Timm shared her transformation with us on Facebook, and we were so inspired that we wanted to learn more. We reached out to Tracy, and she was kind enough to answer some questions for us. Here’s what she had to say about her Yoli story!
When did you start with Yoli?
I was introduced to Yoli and the Better Body System in the summer of 2013 by a couple of my friends and started my first Transformation Kit in August of 2013.
What made you decide to get started?
After many failed attempts since college at “diets of the month,” exercise plans of the month, counting calories, restricting what I ate, always being hungry, and trying to get back to my love of jumping rope, I instead found myself 90 pounds heavier, unhealthy, and feeling pretty miserable. I was going to start using diet pills out of desperation, but fortunately Yoli came into my life at just the right moment! I knew I needed to do Yoli after I heard you should never be hungry!
What is your favorite thing to eat on Protein Day? What about Meal Day?
How do I pick? I LOVE FOOD! There are too many options! A staple in our house for Protein Day is an egg scramble with ham, cheese, cream cheese, peppers, and mushrooms, sometimes with some cottage cheese and hot sauce on top! A Meal Day favorite is loaded sweet potato and chicken casserole with a leafy green salad including carrots, broccoli, and tomatoes!
What’s your favorite Yoli product?
I love how I feel using each of them, but I can’t go without Alkalete! But please don’t make me go without any of them!
What obstacles did you encounter on the BBS and how did you overcome them?
Going into the BBS, I didn’t realize just how bad my sugar addiction and emotional eating had been. Food had become a crutch and a filler to a void in my life. It took a lot of reflection and being honest with myself to understand my triggers and it helped tremendously when I followed the schedule and got all my protein in. Now I have better control over sugar and don’t emotional eat. Following the system as it’s written helped me a lot!
What helped you be successful on the BBS?
The support system I have with my Yoli Family has been incredible, but it was also in me deciding I wasn’t going to continue down the path I was on and having a successful mindset. Making the personal decision and then having people hold you accountable and encourage personal development helped me stay the course. But it also helped that I wasn’t starving, feeling better, and making simple changes to make Yoli my lifestyle!
What advice would you give to someone starting out on the BBS?
Love yourself. Be gentle with yourself, but also be honest with yourself. Follow the system and your body will thank you! Use your support system! Ask questions! Meal prep so you always have food ready and don’t go too long without eating! You are worth it! Believe in the process and in yourself! If I can do it, so can you!
How has your life changed since you started your transformation?
Oh my goodness!!! Well, I am now a mom since I started because I gave birth to a healthy little Yoli baby boy! I have also been able to get back to my love of jumping rope, feel younger, healthier, and better than I did in college, have grown closer to my husband, been working on improving and becoming my best self, and helping others with their own health journeys! I have productive energy and am passing on healthy habits to my family. Yoli has helped me live life again and get away from settling for how things were. I feel like my smile truly reflects how I feel on the inside! I am so grateful to have Yoli in my life!
Is there anything else you want Yoli Nation to know?
My favorite color is rainbow and Yoli helped my inner rainbow become vibrant again!
